Green Spaces

There’s Green… and then there’s Green.
The property’s location in the upper watershed of Rock Creek inspired the landscape design concept of Falkland North, which is one of natural water, outcrops of regional stone, native plants and lots of green. Greenscape elements include:

  • Restoration of an existing stream valley on Falkland’s South parcel
  • A continuous presence of water through various elevation changes, beginning in the upper roof gardens and terraces and falling down through the site and ultimately into the South parcel stream valley
  • A main public plaza, showcasing large stone and masonry formations and a dramatic waterfall cascading from the upper terraces
  • A public garden fronting on East West Highway provides outdoor terrace areas to be used by planned adjacent café retail, lawns, a water feature and a small strolling garden
  • Biologically-based treatment facilities for storm runoff, cistern water collection and site hydrology that mimics a natural undeveloped watershed
